What We Do
At the start of the 20th century, a small trust formed, known today as Trust Point Born out of the need to serve individuals and business owners in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the company has grown today to serve the financial needs of people throughout the world. From our humble beginnings as a trust company, we’ve now grown to offer a wide variety of services, such as charitable endowments, fiduciary investment management and asset allocation. And although we’ve grown, we’ve never forgotten our modest roots and Midwestern work ethic. That’s what has helped set us apart from other financial companies for more than 100 years.

A trust acts as a legally-binding agreement between two parties, including (1) the person who creates the trust and (2) the trustee (most likely a trust company or financial institution that’s responsible for administering the trust). The trustee oversees and distributes the assets as laid out in the trust for the benefit of a third party, also known as the beneficiary.
While each situation is unique, there are a number of legal requirements that are need to be fulfilled before you can begin operations. It’s best to hire a professional to help you navigate the often complex process of starting a non-profit.
