We help all of our clients to manage and maintain their portfolios in a tax-efficient manner that maximizes return at the client’s preferred level of risk. As an independent provider, we are able to offer a unique blend of investment options, rather than limiting our selections to a list of proprietary investment choices.
We work with our clients to determine the appropriate allocation among various asset classes. We use a disciplined, qualitative approach to identify the best asset managers. To ensure optimal results, we monitor performance, measure results, and make modifications, as necessary.
All of that applies to every Trust Point client, regardless of their means. Our Wealth Management Division, however, exists specifically for high-net-worth clients who often have investment needs and opportunities that are either unavailable or impractical for more typical investors. For our Wealth Management clients, we offer:
Municipal Bond Expertise – We have access to a network of institutional brokers, allowing us to purchase quality bonds that maximize tax advantages and maintain cash flow. We analyze state-by-state variations in risk, and we ladder bond maturities to minimize reinvestment risk.
Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) and Unified Managed Accounts (UMAs) – Investment managers oversee a portfolio of individual stocks and bonds. This allows for greater flexibility and customization, increased tax efficiency, and lower costs than are available to mutual fund investors. We employ a multi-manager strategy to build portfolios that are designed to provide competitive returns with lower risk.
Alternative Investments – Alternative investments are investments other than traditional stocks, bonds, or cash. They include real estate, commodities, private companies and venture capital, equity long/short, and managed futures. Because their returns typically have a low correlation with traditional stocks and bonds, alternative investments increase portfolio diversification and reduce overall volatility and risk.
